Experimental and theoretical study of bond behaviour between FRP bar and high-volume fly ash-self-compacting concrete

The combination of fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) and high-volume fly ash self-compacting concrete (HVFA-SCC) reinforced is expected to solve the problem steel corrosion in traditional structures develop sustainable infrastructures. Bond behaviour has a strong effect on serviceability FRP structures. To achieve acceptance this novel composite practical construction design, it significantly important investigate bond HVFA-SCC. In study, series pull-out tests were carried out HVFA-SCC by bar, which included strength, bond-slip response, failure mode. investigated experimental variables reinforcing materials, surface treatment bars, bar diameters materials. test results revealed that using resulted higher average strength compared those normal specimens. materials (steel vs. GFRP) had behaviour, including stiffness mechanism interaction between dependent friction chemical adhesion. Subsequently, theoretical models for development length proposed. Finally, parameters analytical curve are calibrated GFRP data.
